Client Experience & Testimonials

Wayne (Father of two kids)

Since practicing “The Anywhere Door”, I’ learn from Moureen how to “transition” my role from a professional guy to a dad, back to being a professional. This process is now a lot smoother.

I don’t yell at my kids that often now. Relationship between me and my 2 kids have improved. Kids’ child care prep time is reducing.

It’s such a big improvement in my family. Thanks MMFG.

Jo, Insurance Sector

With my divorce and relationship with my kid, I feel like a big failure.

Dr. Wong has amazing memory. I warn you, even when you sometimes forgotten who you are what you did, she remembers my values, my history, my childhood, my habits. She even counted my achievements one by one WITHOUT ANY notes.

Dr. Wong analysed facts, we worked on a few plans. I began to see how capable I am. Really benefited from MMFG strength-based approach.

I feel so lucky to be FIT mentally after joining MMFG.

Mona (Registered Nurse)

During the pandemic, I work as a registered nurse in a hospital is quite stressful. Stress from work and stress from home almost drag me crazy. I’m physically and mentally tired. I don’t feel like doing anything. I even had to reduce my work days. I hardly fell asleep at night without browse internet to make myself extremely tired. But, after seeing Dr Wong for 1 month, things begin to change for the better. My emotional control is better and my sleeping is better without taking any medications. I gradually start to have hope in my life.

II finally found someone who can support me ongoing. Thank YOU Dr Wong.

Ethan (UTS student, Computer Game Development)

I feel anxious and depressed after breaking up with my long-distant girlfriend.

That kind of sadness has affected my life, and sometimes I feel unmotivated to do uni work, academic studies running behind, and other life tasks also affected. During that time, I often had insomnia at night, and could not sleep because of chest tightness. But after communicating with Dr Wong, she gave me a space to say things I cannot tell my family and friends. She guided me to realize and face my past mistakes, and I also learned through the “Beef Noodle Heart Method”, how to find more ways to solve problems and get to know my thinking patterns a lot better. I have managed to get out of that sadness. I can also better now Take control of my emotions, love life more and full of motivation. Thank YOU, MMFG

Senior Lecturer, G8 Australian University

Highly experienced therapist with great skills and passion in helping people out from low mood. I was lucky to have Moureen to lift me up. She fitted me in urgently.

Moureen guided me to approach relationship-related problems, and helped me develop a “customised framework” to healthy relationships.

Semi-retired Engineer Wilson. Father of 2 adult kids. Widowed 68

I feel very grateful to Moureen because she gave me an accurate diagnosis. I now also have a management plan and action plan to manage my symptoms, signs and even root sources of my stress, anxiety and depression. She helps me reconnect with my feelings and mindful of what I am thinking.

She helps me to see through my situations and work out plans to deal with them. Moureen is very caring and professional. While she was on-leave, she spent very long time talking to me when I was having intense suicidal thought. She calmed me down and guided me to work out the strategies to survive.

Sam, Education Sector, Carer (Autism, ADHD)

Our first child is diagnosed with autism and ADHD.

We are so lucky to find Dr. Moureen as our first therapist, as we hear friends went through the trouble of a few therapists before finding a good one. Our son adores Dr. Moureen! He always ask when is the next appointment to see Dr. Moureen. She interacts so well with children. Our son feels 200% accepted at MMFG. Did I tell you she is funny and humorous?

Dr Moureen is helpful with claiming receipts through NDIS. All rounder psychotherapist.

We consulted Dr. Moureen on effective parenting too. She was thorough and supportive throughout the journey, explaining the conditions, explain terminologies with easy-to-understand words. The best part is Dr Moureen gave functional support for our daily life e.g. smoother morning routine, with a happier child happier mom. no longer angry. She teaches us how to look after ourselves.

We love how Dr. Moureen communicates clearly especially when we were stressed and “all over the place”.

Dr. Chen Y.F. (Nutritionist & Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner)

Thanks for helping me to have an insight into some bottleneck in both professional and personal life.

I trust and appreciate Dr. Wong’s perspectives and management plan moving forward. — Dr.Chen YF.

Mental Weight-Lifting

When did you last invest in your MIND fitness? How heavy can you lift mentally and emotionally? Are you progressing? Do you know your mental “pain point” before burnout and injuries?

MMFG Workout Plan

Do you have a workout plan to keep well, to stay well, to draw on your resilience during testing times, and to celebrate your resilience?

Recharge Yourself

Do you have a “MMFG branded charger & lightning cable” to recharge you to full battery? What could charge you mentally faster than your standard chargers and cables? We heard many people currently use TV, alcohol, dating apps, food and shopping. Great for national economic recovery, but is it that good for you?
Do you have a favourite “lift me up menu” that will energise you?

How tired are you?

When you are tired, exhausted, may be feeling undervalued, or, simply don’t feel vibrant anymore? Sometimes, don't feel like moving or talking to anyone? Somehow, somewhat feeling lonely even when you are not physically alone?

We have some MMFG exercises that you can try. Without the side effects of drugs or whilst you are on medications.
Do you have a “first aid kit” to help yourself? Possibly people around you? Especially at moments where you are about to “lose it” or feeling quite intensed?

Physical changes such as moving home, going interstate, migrating, people moving into your homes are more taxing than most people thought.

Goal Setting (Evidence-based, won research awards)

We often find clients do have goals, but it's unclear, not explicit, unannounced, and sometimes conflicting.

For example, parents who aim to raise an independent child, but do "everything" for their kids at home. Is that conflicting?

Some clients told us their goal is to be happy. After a few consultations with us, we could see that our client's mind are full of "baggages" from the past, fear about the future, and some challenges in the present. We found some roadblocks to happiness. Not being aware of these roadblocks, how could we pursue happiness?

SMART goals: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-based.

Learning Goal, Performance Goal or both?

MMFG guides you to set goals that work. Together, we take into account your personal circumstances, past present and future, using evidence-based approach.

We help you workout [What works for you] + [Workable most of the time] (effectiveness) + removing [road blocks]
